"Stay in touch" is off unless you turn it on. When it is on, the phone number or handle you typed is included in the same Bluetooth exchange as your answers, and the phone you bumped keeps it only if its owner also turned theirs on. Otherwise it is discarded. It goes to that phone and nowhere else — never to us, never to a server. You can clear it at any time by emptying the fields, and you can delete a swapped contact from a saved match.
Linking a saved match to someone already in your address book uses Apple's own contact picker, which runs outside the app. Soul Bump never asks for access to your contacts and never reads your address book; it keeps only the name and numbers of the single contact you pick.
If Bluetooth will not connect, you can swap a QR code instead. The code is a web link that carries your answers in the part of the address after the "#" symbol. Browsers never send that part to a server, so even when someone without the app opens the link, their browser shows them a page and your answers stay on your device. This site cannot see them.
The one-time unlock is handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details, and we receive no personal information from the transaction.
On devices that support it, the written analysis is generated by Apple's on-device model. It runs locally on your phone. Nothing is sent to Apple, to us, or to anyone else.
Soul Bump is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone. As above, we collect nothing from any user.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will appear on this page with a new date. Because the app collects nothing, we do not expect substantive changes.
